Good to know
Good
Portugal and Spain are both in the Schengen area, so there is no passport control at the border.
Watch out
Spain is one hour ahead. A bus that leaves Lisbon at 07:00 and takes seven hours reaches Seville at about 15:00 local time.
Good
Driving takes about 4 hours 30 minutes on motorways via the Algarve, which is quicker than the bus.
Watch out
There is no railway between Faro and Seville, so any train trip needs a bus as well and takes 8 to 16 hours. If you rent a car in Portugal, ask the company before you take it into Spain.
